Managed Computer Solutions & Mick’s Computer Services is a cornerstone in the Whitsunday region for over 18 years, and is excited to offer an opportunity for a Part or Full-Time Workshop Technician to join our innovative team. With two strategic locations and various business arms, including our local retail, workshop and onsite IT support services, Managed IT solutions, Data Centre Services, and a Network Operation Centre, and lastly our Projects and R&D teams. We provide comprehensive tech solutions across Australia.

Your Role:

As a Workshop Technician, you’ll play a vital role in our operations, delivering top-tier technical support and solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Level 1-2 Workshop & Remote IT with occasional onsite support services.
  • Remote client support using our RMM toolset and assisting the MSP & Projects teams.
  • Handling IT Help requests and queries with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Collaborating closely with our Service Coordinator on ticket management.
  • Escalating IT Support requests and handling general administration

We’re Looking For:

  • Strong client focus with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and as an individual,
  • The willingness to multitask, and manage multiple jobs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in Microsoft & Apple operating systems.
  • Experience with strong knowledge in hardware & software diagnostics, PC builds, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Office 365 administration and third-party application support.
  • Punctual, arrive to work on time, great time management skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 24 +months of experience in an IT support role.
  • Certificate III or IV in Information, Digital Media & Technology (preferred but not essential).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems & RMM Toolsets.
  • Must hold a current Australian-issued driver’s license and be able to obtain a Queensland/National police certificate.
