TeamViewer For Windows
Step 1: Download TeamViewer
- Go to the official TeamViewer website at https://www.teamviewer.com.
- Click on the “Download for free” button.
Step 2: Run the Installer
- Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded TeamViewer setup file (usually named “TeamViewer_Setup.exe”).
- Double-click on the downloaded file to run the installer.
Step 3: Choose Installation Options
- In the TeamViewer Setup Wizard, you’ll be prompted to choose between “Basic installation” and “Installation to access this computer remotely.” Select the option that suits your needs.
Step 4: Accept License Agreement
- Read and accept the TeamViewer License Agreement by checking the box.
- Click on the “Accept – finish” button.
Step 5: Set Up Unattended Access (Optional)
- If you want to set up unattended access, choose the “Setup unattended access” option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up unattended access, providing a name and password for your computer.
Step 6: Install TeamViewer
- Click on the “Finish” button to complete the installation.
Step 7: Note Your TeamViewer ID and Password
- Once installed, TeamViewer will provide you with a unique TeamViewer ID and password. Share this information with the person who will be providing support or with whom you want to connect remotely.
Step 8: Grant Permissions (Windows 10)
- If you are using Windows 10, you may receive a security prompt from Windows Defender Firewall. Click on “Allow access” to grant TeamViewer the necessary permissions.
That’s it! You have successfully installed TeamViewer on your Windows computer. You can now use it for remote support or access other computers remotely.
TeamViewer For Apple MAC
Step 1: Download TeamViewer
Visit the official TeamViewer website to download the TeamViewer application for Mac. You can find the download page at https://www.teamviewer.com.
Step 2: Locate the Downloaded File
Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded TeamViewer.dmg file in your Downloads folder or the location where your browser saves downloads.
Step 3: Open the TeamViewer Installer
Double-click on the TeamViewer.dmg file to open it. This will mount the TeamViewer disk image on your desktop.
Step 4: Install TeamViewer
Inside the mounted disk image, you will find the TeamViewer icon. Drag this icon to the Applications folder to install TeamViewer on your Mac.
Step 5: Grant Permissions
Once the copying process is complete, go to your Applications folder and locate TeamViewer. Open TeamViewer, and you may be prompted to confirm that you want to open the application.
If you encounter a security warning, go to “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy” and click on the “Open Anyway” button next to the TeamViewer entry.
Step 6: Set Up Unattended Access (Optional)
If you want to set up unattended access (allowing remote access to your Mac), sign in to your TeamViewer account or create one. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up unattended access.
Step 7: Note Your TeamViewer ID and Password
Once installed, TeamViewer will provide you with a unique TeamViewer ID and password. Share this information with the person who will be providing support or with whom you want to connect remotely.
That’s it! You have successfully installed TeamViewer on your Mac. You can now use it for remote support or accessing your Mac from other devices.
